Beloved comedian and showman Martin Short is probably best known for his role as party planner "Franck" in the hit comedies Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride II Short began his career in his native Canada as a member of the famed comedy troupe Second City and gained television fame as a regular on Saturday Night Live.  In 1998 he earned an Emmy nomination for his work in the television miniseries Merlin.  Short has also worked on stage, recently winning the 1999 Tony Award for his work in the Broadway production of Little Me.  Martin is currently entertaining audience hosting his nationally syndicated talk show entitled The Martin Short Show.
