Dear Ron,
The Eighth Annual Tim Kerr Ten Kilo Run and Family Festival was a smashing
success. The weather, while somewhat humid for the runners, was almost picture perfect for
the Family Festival which followed. The race drew 1,261 runners, one of the highest number
of runners for this event. We estimate that the Family Festival drew more than 10,000
people during the course of the day.
While financial figures are not final, we
estimate the event will net more than $30,000 to the Diller Blind Home for Children and
other Lion charities. One of the ingredients that makes this day a success is the
enthusiastic help we receive from donations, volunteers and sponsors.
I am most grateful for your support and
providing us a great day of music from BANDSTAND; they were great. You helped make the run
and festival a very special day.
Very Truly Yours,

C.P. Covington
