LLOYD (BUB) WASHINGTON JR.
Lloyd “Uncle Bub” Washington, a native of Philadelphia started his record label Family Til Death entertainment in 2001 with a collection of artists from different genres of music such as, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Reggae. After years of continuous work, Family Til Death Entertainment had finally made it. While in the process of inking a deal with Sony records, CEO Uncle Bub was federally convicted to serve a sixteen-year sentence in prison, and the deal fell apart. As many prisoners succumb to depression while incarcerated, Uncle Bub was determined to create his own fate, using the time to better himself and brainstorm plans for his return to society. Using his time in prison for personal betterment Uncle Bub went on to write numerous screenplays and short stories. He developed an app slated to be released in 2022 and launched a high end Italian shoe brand called Adore’ La Cultura. On May 15, 2020, Uncle Bub was released during the height of COVID-19, returning home with an excess of motivation to rejuvenate his record label, shop his stories and continue building his lifestyle brand Adore’ La Cultura. In short, Uncle Bub never gave up on himself or his future and remains to be a constant inspiration to those around him. Uncle Bub plans to use his voice to inspire the masses by sharing his story as proof that mistakes are a platform for continuous growth and improvement, and do not define who you are.
